Objective: basic research proposals in any of 26 NCN panels;

Project duration – 12 to 36 months, PI – researchers with a PhD degree conferred within 2 to 7 years before the proposal submission year

Important change! Post-doc type position can be applied for by anyone who had the PI as their research supervisor or auxiliary supervisor of their PhD dissertation!

For whom: at researchers at all stages of their academic careers

Different possibilities:

  • without the participation of foreign partners
  • with the use of large international research devices by Polish research teams
  • under the Lead Agency Procedure (LAP) cooperation in the Weave program – i.e. in cooperation with foreign research teams from Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg or Belgium-Flanders

Project duration – 12 to 48 months, PI – a person who has at least one scientific publication (no requirement for a PhD degree)

Objective: scholarship for early career researchers for outstanding scientific achievements in any research field

For whom: researchers under 30 years old

Objective: to support international mobility of PhD students participating in the PRELUDIUM BIS programme by enabling the fellowships in European and non-European academic centres, Internships: 3 to 6 months;

For whom:  the scholarship holders of the PRELUDIUM BIS programme conducted by the National Science Centre in Poland

Submission of applications: depending on edition, on a continuous basis until December

Objective: to implement doctoral programmes by partnerships of universities/research institutions/SMEs from different countries across Europe and beyond, in all research diciplines, proposals should address needs in R&I area, offer training in research and transferable skills for Doctoral Candidates, expose researchers to academic and non-academic sectors etc.

Duration of the project: up to 4 years, fellowship for DC between 3-36 months, Consortium: at least 3 institutions, at least one from EU Member State

Objective: international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary mobility of R&I staff, organisations constituting the partnership contribute directly to the implementation of a joint R&I project by seconding and/or hosting eligible staff members, project must explore activities that can be based on previous work but should go beyond and generate or strengthen long-term collaborations

For whom: organisations from the academic and non-academic sectors

The objective of all ERC grants: groundbreaking, high-risk/high-gain research projects in any field of research

For whom: researchers of any nationality with 7-12 years of experience since completion of PhD, scientific track record showing great promise and an excellent research proposal, up to 2 € million for a period of 5 years

DEADLINE: 14.01.2025 (IOC PAS DEADLINE: 07.01.2025)

Objective: to address ambitious research questions that require coordinated work by 2-4 researchers, up to 10 € million for 6 years

Objective: to conduct research/visit lab/teach in US institutions for 3-6 months

For whom: Polish citizens, PhD studends or post-doctoral fellows

Objective: to conduct research in any academic field at U.S. institution, research project must be relevant to Europe/European Union/US-EU relations, Duration: scholarships for 4-9 months, up to 2000 euro per month, For whom: Bachelor’s degree as a minimum, EU citizens

Objective: to conduct research and/or lecture in any academic field at U.S. institution, research project must be relevant to Europe/European Union/US-EU relations, Duration: scholarships for 3-9 months, up to 3000 euro per month, For whom: PhD degree as a minimum, EU citizens
