The National Science Center announced the results of the OPUS 18 competition for research projects, addressed to all researchers, and the SONATA 15 competition for research projects carried out by people with a doctoral degree. Employees of the Institute of Organic Chemistry received five grants. Funding from the OPUS 18 program was received by Prof. Dorota Gryko for the project “Sustainable, photochemical transformations of diazo reagents as a source of reactive intermediates”, Prof. Bartłomiej Furman for the project “Synthesis of structurally diverse medium- and large-sized rings by controlled decomposition of tetraoxanes and related compounds” and Dr hab. Wojciech Chaładaj for the project “Control of regio- and stereoselectivity of hydro- and carbofluoromethylation of alkynes via a sequence of hydro- or carbometallation and C-M functionalization”.
In the SONATA 15 competition, funding was awarded to Dr Marcin Górecki for the project “Solid-state circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopies as tools for supporting the development of medical chemistry” and Dr Piotr Szcześniak for the project “Photochemical rearrangement of lactams: A ring-expansion approach towards structurally diverse heterocycles”.
Congratulations and we wish you all the success in your research!
